We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Elizabeth A. Conkey Forest North (Forest Preserves of Cook County) yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring hiking trails, picnic tables and a creek, plus a BMX bike track.

Beautiful place to sit back and have some quiet time or a family picnic. They have plenty of picnic tables on the side closest to the forest, and a pavilion and outhouse on the other side. Beautiful hiking paths. The one closest to the turnabout leads to the creek and branches out into the forest.
One of my favorite places to take my pups for long walks. This Forest preserve is so clean and so well-maintained. We love it here 🐾❤🌳🌳
Nice peaceful walk through the woods along the creek, which was flowing at a good clip. Not quite fall colors yet but a lot of birds and some mallards.
It's great when there's no authority around, I like to let my dog run free for some exercise. It's kept clean, safe and quiet.
