Confirmed from Elks Riverside Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Green space, with playground, walking trails and picnic tables, lining the Missouri River.
What runners say about Elks Riverside Park
“Beautiful Park, clean, plenty of space for the kiddos to run around .”
“Beautiful view of the Missouri River, walking and biking trail and nice play structure.”
Great park, lots of open spaces and gophers to look at. The play ground is rated from five years to 12 years but can be easily used by kids older than two. The fact that the park closes at 5 it's a weird misnomer because I saw plenty of people there at 8 p.m. in the summer.
Elks Riverside Park has a nice play area with equipment and lots of room to run. We spent time at the dog park which has two sections for big and little dogs with play equipment for the dogs.
Fun smaller park that you is out of the way of the larger park near by. Great opportunities for walks or short hikes.
Stopped for a walk with my pup, nice facilities. Good play area, nice & green, clean and pretty.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
