Confirmed from Ellis Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Great park with well maintained features for all ages and interests.”

Good local park, clean and friendly place to go hang out walk the dog or chill at a bench and read. A number of base ball / softball diamonds, area's large enough for group gatherings, tennis & basket ball courts means you're likely to find room for you game on most days with no conflict for space.

★★★★☆ — Allan , Jun 2019

Very good option to play or practice tennis or baseball games, walk with your pets, or use playgrounds with your kids.

★★★★★ — Alma , May 2025

Enjoyed the winter wonderland and it is well worth it. You can go around as many times as you like. There is a radio station you can tune into and the large tree goes along with the music. They do have Santa at some times too. This is a family tradition to go experience the lights.

★★★★★ — Crystal , Dec 2023

We are frequent visitors of Ellis Park. All of my son's games are played on the baseball fields. The staff keeps the grass in great shape. The restrooms are frequently cleaned. My son's enjoy the park, the trails and the bridge over the creek. My family enjoys the pool. The walking path is great.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
