Confirmed from Emerald Bay Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Dog-friendly green space with a playground, fishing pier & ball field, plus picnic tables & a trail.
What runners say about Emerald Bay Park
“The park has a well maintained garden for butterfly season.”
“It was hard to find scenic areas for hoco pictures this year due to the extreme heat, but emerald Bay was beautiful the green grass around the pond.”
“This park is nestled into you and nice quiet neighborhood.”
Nice paved trail around a lake with a covered pier and a fountain. Some small shaded sitting areas with benches. The park has a well maintained garden for butterfly season.
Nice little walking loop. Love going at night and listening to all the frogs. Peaceful pond and fountain.
Nice park. Relaxing. The mini lake is super fun and pleasant to look at. Plenty of space to jog, walk, run or even fly a drone! Seems very safe and in a great neighborhood. Good for a walk but don't sit on the benches, spider nests/infestation on all of them, no joke!

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadwater — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
