Confirmed from Shorewood Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Casual hangout featuring a baseball field, a basketball court, a playground and a jungle gym.
What runners say about Shorewood Park
“Very clean, lots of trees and play equipment for kids”
Cute small playground. The road to get there is rocky with pot holes, so drive carefully. There is a long winding path for walking, a half court for basketball, and roller hockey area surrounding the playground. There's a small covered pavilion with two tables and a small grill you can reserve through the Parks dept.
This small neighborhood park is just a short drive from Baylor Scott and White hospital. That makes it a pleasant option when waiting for someone, as a break or diversion from a waiting room or hospital setting. Children's playground, short walking path and some ball courts, plus a restroom.
Great wide open park, plenty of space to let your 4-legged friend run around.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
