Confirmed from Emmerling Community Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Grill-equipped, tree-lined park with a playground and spacious fields, plus an ice cream stand.
What runners say about Emmerling Community Park
“The entire location was quite clean; given what I saw stretched over a quarter mile, that's impressive.”
“The Rachel Carson trail goes through the park, right along deer creek, very beautiful and quiet.”

“Our dogs love the park as well, we've never had a bad trip.”
This park is amazing! It has a hiking trail and stream running around the edge, lots of field space, several baseball fields, a volleyball net, a few pavilions and a nicely paved parking area. Great place to take your dog or play frisbee with your friends. It's a beautiful natural area!
Serene place near route 910. Great dog on leash friendly park. The stream is very relaxing.
Great community park with lot's to do. Fish here all the time and enjoy the trails too. Had my wedding reception and my son's graduation party here as well.
This was a large park with a lot to offer. There were several smaller sites for individual or group get-togethers, from Individual picnic tables to large covered areas with seating for 40 or more. Little tucked away spots with a grill and picnic table with nearby bird feeders caught my eye as well.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
