Confirmed from Englewood MetroPark South Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Englewood MetroPark South Park
“The trail was relatively clean and taken care of, with the exception of some tire tracks from ATVs or something that caused some minor flooding in low laying areas.”
“Amazing place , beautiful and quiet most days .”
It's a great place for some light hiking or trail running. No pavement, but the paths are very well maintained and very clean. I feel pretty safe there too. Your always within walking distance of something, even though it my not seem like it.
I saw a couple cars in the lot, but had the trail to myself. The trail was relatively clean and taken care of, with the exception of some tire tracks from ATVs or something that caused some minor flooding in low laying areas.
South Park is where youll find cartman and the gang. Maybe st. pattys fall and martindale falls at the very far end. Like 3 or 4 miles down.
Super naturey! Lots of trails snaking through and there's even a campsite you can hike into! Natural springs make it pretty muddy! Was only a few others out on the trial during December. Trails are NOT connected to Yhe Trolls that hatched an Egg.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
