awesome piece of old Florida tucked away on the edge of Estero. my local mountain biking spot, western trails flood during rainy season, be aware, but mid level trails are always the best bet, lots of sun and nature and salt flats and turtles bunnies, fiddler crabs and birds.
Had a great bike ride there. Some of the trails especially along the back fence line were not maintained and were impassible so I could not make the full loops and had to double back. Did not see much wildlife unnfortunatly.
When the weather cools down and the bugs are no longer present this is a great place to take a long walk and the scrublands. There are plenty of trails going through the variety of habitats located there. Plenty of bird life to observe and occasionally you'll see a rabbit.
Great location for walking with the dogs but not when it's hot. It's very open and no shade Make sure you bring lots of water, sunblock and cover yourself in some good bug spray, a lot of deer flies when I went. Also make sure you're wearing good walking shoes.
