Confirmed from Lovers Key State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

*Watch the snorkeling video I posted* This place has something for everyone. We were visiting family and they suggested coming here for the day. We loved it so much we went back for another day too. We biked, hiked and fished. The trails were so peaceful and we saw lots of wild life!

Had a great day here! While our favorite beach was Barefoot Beach, it has not quite recovered from Hurricane Ian. Lovers Key has. Parking spots ($8) were available at 11am on a Saturday. While it could be a long walk to the beach and tram makes regular loops and moves people nicely.

we came down a few weeks ago from out of state and have fallen in love with this park! the staff was amazing, especially Sarah. She let us in early to wait until parking was available since it was my boyfriend’s birthday and the other beaches were full.

Absolutely wonderful state park to visit. Park staff is phenomenal and extremely helpful! Entry fee is minimal, especially when you look at everything you can experience! From hiking trails, what seems like a private beach that's excellent for shelling, to kayaking - this park is a true hidden gem in the Ft.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
