Confirmed from Fall Line Trace Psalmond RD's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Paved & scenic hiking/cycling trail with views and parks en route.

Great trail to skate, some parts have debris and heavy traff but really beautiful trail
A decent place hit the Fall Line Trace. About 9 parkings spots plus two more handicap spaces are available and a gazebo. The trail travels just over 11 miles to the Riverfront Park. Paved and smooth the entire way laying atop the former Northern Suffolk Railroad.
What an amazing trail for walking, riding, or running. Several access points to the trail. Great signage with maps and mileage markers. Fairly flat with well maintained area on each side of the trail. Flashing lights at major road crossings. It gives access to Flat Rock park and has a park near the mall.
My go to trail for cycling, running, walking... love that it is accessible to Flat Rock Park. There are restrooms, parks, restaurants and stores along the 10.5 mile trail.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
