Confirmed from Falls of Neuse Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Paved trail along the Neuse River featuring fishing, hiking and biking.
What runners say about Falls of Neuse Trail
“Very easy to access, well maintained and great way to get back to nature whether walking, jogging or biking.”
“A very long trail with a lot of great views and space, very nice”
“Verry peaceful and family friendly😍☮️”
I ran 4 miles on this trail in the moring. Relaxing, cool, meditative, beautiful views. Had to stop myself from pausing for pictures constantly...a wholesome experience. 4 miles in 30 minutes with energy to spare and I must say that this location played a big role in the overall good feel of the run.
Such an incredible place to ride bikes, run, skateboard, or just walk and take on nature alongside the river. I almost always see deer, rabbits, hawks and occasionally an eagle! The trails are beautifully groomed with access and parking all around making it easy to enjoy.
Great trail, you can either start at Raven Ridge or at Falls dam, it's about a 3.5-mile hike (one way), wonderful, calming, and so serene. Highly recommended it to get out of the Raleigh fast lane. You'll thank me later.
Nice concrete walkway for both walkers and bikers. The bikers know the rules and let you know when approaching and passing. Nice views of the river along the way. Many miles of hiking. I prefer natural trails but this one is nice.
