Confirmed from MST Falls Lake's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about MST Falls Lake
“Always a peaceful and quiet trail to hike.”
Always a peaceful and quiet trail to hike. Plenty of trails along Falls Lake, easy access limited parking but a great adventure.
Basically an easier version of the Appalachian Trail (this section). Very beautiful with many things to see. Make sure to plan your water. I was able to filter some of the smaller streams but there weren't many.
Unfortunately this trail is adjacent to a number of homes so it's not as isolated as you might like.
We love the MST. We hike it most every weekend. We have tried various access points but have a favorite. It is the right amount of challenging! Our out and back is about 6 miles.
