Confirmed from Farm River State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking & fishing are popular activities in this marshy outdoor recreation area with a boat launch.
What runners say about Farm River State Park
“Beautiful this time of year, varied and bright autumn colors.”
Genuinely beautiful spot to stop and fish/walk/run/camp. This is the type of park that doesn’t have gates that close or anything so you could go there and walk at any time. Nice views, kept clean, maintained, easy access. Great place to stop by and visit if you’re in the New Haven county area!
A wonderful walk. Beautiful views and rock formations. 2 picnic tables, one at the beginning of the trail and one at the fishing area overlooking the water. Not a long hike, but very nice.
Great trails and very clean I especially loved the views so breathtaking so serene so beautiful I highly recommend going but pack a snack and make sure your ready to hike wear boots.
Love walking my buddy sugar there. It's peaceful and quiet. It has a few different trails off the main path. Great place to clear your mind and take in a breath of fresh air.
