We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of FB Trail Head yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about FB Trail Head
“It's a Great trail with great views along the river and has lots of nice terrain for mountain biking and experienced hikers and runners (more rugged terrain than most trails).”
Grab your hiking boots or mountain bikes and check out what there is to see on this beautiful trail system. This easily accessible trail is west of Redding near Hwy 299 and has several locations to park. From creeks and bridges to dry fields, you can see a wide variety of plants and wildlife.
love it, is no bussy and it's beautiful. There's a picnic table down the river if you walk like an hour, and there are benches along the trail
Nice place for a walk, run, take the dog out, mountain bike etc. Can go quite a long distance if you wish. It is in the burn area from the carr fire so dusty but loads of views now. I like it but you have to not mind the new lack of vegetation.
FB Trail is awsome! I rode it to the junction with the Williams Mine trail. 20 miles out and back. Great trail variations, scenery, points of interest, and information plaques. I'm from out of town and will be back to enjoy this area again!
