Confirmed from Ferguson Bayou Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking area offering wildlife watching opportunities including bald eagles, cranes, and turtles.
What runners say about Ferguson Bayou Trail
“Teaming with wildlife, very beautiful scenery, trails in great condition are the characteristics of this area.”
“This place is beautiful and wonderful Don't expect the gate to be open cuz we're in a government shutdown I don't know why people don't understand this.”
If you are thinking about this trail and you live far away, it’s worth the drive. It’s even worth a 4 Hour Dr. it’s out of this world. You wouldn’t even believe you are in saganaw. No structures or house just beautiful lake swamp woods. Stunning scenery.
Incredibly beautiful the only place left in MI with this ecosystem. Who knew there were bayous in MI. There are no maps once you get on the trails so I suggest taking a picture of the map at the parking lot.
Flat but great for a nice hike, bike or jog, always see an amazing amount of wildlife out here....
