Confirmed from Wickes Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Calm spot featuring a playground, disk golf and biking trail, along with a river view.
What runners say about Wickes Park
“Excellent disc golf course, very well maintained and a good mix of open areas and wooded.”
“Definitely not quiet and not child friendly due to excessive loud and very profane language.”
Secluded. Large parking area. Has place to launch paddle boat. Looks like great spot to fish. Also has paved bike trails along river.
It's a 4 mile paddle from where M13 crosses the Cass River to this spot at Wickes Park on the map. It's a nice paddle up short stretches of multiple rivers. The boat ramp was under construction with a lot of workers and trucks working on the ramp.
Nice, easy place for ice fishing. Good parking lot, easy river access, short walk. Definitely not quiet and not child friendly due to excessive loud and very profane language.
Nice park for walking, biking or fishing. Some parts of the park or run down

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
