Confirmed from Flat Fork Ridge Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Flat Fork Ridge Trailhead
Trails were great. Few muddy spots but otherwise easy to navigate. Few hikers, few doggies on the trail as well.
Great trail. Welll maintained. Agree with the moderate level. Highly recommend.
Day hiked, 2/14/26. I’ve been on this trail over a dozen times, but never after a winter thaw. Through the fossil flat land, there was a lot of ice and water. Thankfully, I had ice cleats on, a photo of them is included, and it was the best purchase I’ve ever made because not only does it give you traction on ice but…
Peaceful, quiet, cooling canopy in Summer. Parking and Restrooms, fishing, gentle walk on cleared paths and trails.
