Confirmed from Ohio to Erie Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Ohio to Erie Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (26 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“Scenic beautiful trail, flat, nice folks on the trail, places to rest and eat.”

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“North of Springfield your pretty much on your own, but, smooth and shady for awhile, then your out in the open cornfields, not much shade but still fun!”

People travel from other states to bike on this trail and the connecting routes. Mostly shaded by trees in the summer and places to stop and rest along the way. You'll see tons of wild life too (deer, beavers, rabbit, turtles, snakes). Every now and again a section will get resurfaced.

Fantastic place to ride! I rode the Little Miami part of the trail between Corwin and Xenia. It’s straight and flat, scenic and gorgeous, an all around great ride. Parking in Corwin was safe and well marked. There is even a little snack shop there for when you get back to your car. Definitely going back.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
