Confirmed from Flatirons Vista Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Scenic hiking trails with wildflower-filled meadows and views of the mountains.
What runners say about Flatirons Vista Trailhead
“We visited in June, right after the rains, and it was absolutely beautiful—wildflowers everywhere and the weather was perfect in the 60s.”
“Easy trail- just be sure to carry water as there were some long stretches without shade.”

Nice place close to Boulder, Broomfield, Lafayette, Louisville and Arvada. Easy trails with not much incline. Sometime have to dodge bikers or a bear. Beautiful views of the Flatirons and surrounds.
Easy walking trail with beautiful views. We went counter-clockwise to catch the ‘lake’ before finishing.
Was driving from Estes Park down to Salida, and decided it would be nice to take a break from driving to stretch our legs. Beautiful sunny day! Lots of great views of the plains to the east, and the foothills of the mountains to the west.
It was beautiful! It was pretty flat, so I had an easy time taking a bike around the flatirons vista trail. The beginning of that particular trail (you can reach a few from this trailhead) was open and you could see the mountains, and the back had a grove of trees that was pretty.
Trail conditions & character
“Also there's a lot of road noise until you get farther away from the road, but the flatiron views, per the name of the trail, are fantastic, especially around sunset.”

“We did the Flatiron Trail Loop, which was a bit rocky throughout, so just a heads-up if your pup has sensitive paws—mine does, so I had him wear his little crocs.”
“There is lots of beauty to enjoy and there is a field of prairie dogs that I find very cute and charming.”
“5 mile loop trail that’s easy to follow and mostly flat with outstanding views of the flatirons!”
