Confirmed from Florida Trail Red Rock Trailhead Red Clay Cliffs' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Florida Trail Red Rock Trailhead Red Clay Cliffs

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (52 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 11 mentions

“It was, however, beautiful and all the creeks in the Blackwater made for great spots to cool off.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 5 mentions

“This was an excellent spot to hangout and was as beautiful as it was peaceful.”

My backpacking partner and I hiked from here to Karrick Lake (to the north) from April 19, 1996 to April 21, 1996 along the Florida Trail. It was very hot and buggy as all of Florida is from spring onward. It was, however, beautiful and all the creeks in the Blackwater made for great spots to cool off.

Very beautiful hike. The best part is the variety of terrain. It has something new around every curve. The sad part was people carving their names in the cliffs. However it is worth the trip to come see it!

This is a nice little trail that follows the nearby creak. Pleasant swimming water, some fishing to do, the rode on the way in cam be good for some biking

★★★★★ — Greg , Sep 2023

Loved it! Maintained well with beautiful trees. I’d recommend taking the south trail across the road from the sign since it takes you down to the water and cliffs. There’s even a small parking lot off the side of the road which was helpful

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
