Confirmed from Foothills Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Grassy waterfront park with picnic areas and walking trails, plus a platform overlooking the river.
What runners say about Foothills Park
“Clean restrooms, well maintained landscaping and a number of art installations around the park.”
“The pathway also connects to the viewing dolphin barrels, and Foothills Park itself has a great viewing platform on the Willamette which looks great architecturally.”
“Very nice pavilion with chairs and tables to eat or relax in the shade.”
“Peaceful, scenic, and beautifully maintained—Foothills Park is one of our favorite spots in Lake Oswego.”
Beautiful views by the water, open green spaces, and sculptures around — perfect for a slow walk or just sitting and taking in the scenery without spending a dime.
Wanted a place to take a morning walk along the River. Met some nice nice locals out for a lovely sunrise walk. Cleanest public bathroom I’ve ever found in a park.
It's a really nice place to walk and enjoy views of the river. There was a nice amount of birds and flowers to see and photograph.
There are about 20 designated parking spaces and easily 20 or more on the street nearby. There are water fountains and public bathrooms. Very nice pavilion with chairs and tables to eat or relax in the shade. A large lawn and shaded area with mature trees for shade.
