Confirmed from Fort Boreman Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Great stop on our drive through western WV! We spent about 1.5 hours playing on the playground, reading the history, and enjoying the paths. We only did the short piece from the parking lot, around the mountain, and back up to the flagpoles. It was rocky, and a little steep, but our small kids did fantastic.

Even though technically there’s not a Fort, this has a few cannons and old cabin on its premises. It’s a great overview of the city of Parkersburg, and even with views of Belpre, this is a great sunset location. The maintenance and upkeep is great for a local park.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 27 mentions

“The highway traffic noise takes away from the ambiance, and the overgrowth blocks some of the views, but I still say it was a worth a stop to stretch your legs.”
