Confirmed from Point Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Point Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (497 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“Nice park with great views, chair swings with a view, beautiful artwork on the levee walls, and clean restrooms.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 14 mentions

“This is a nice place to stop and walk off dinner because it’s the most beautiful place in Parkersburg to watch the sunset, well most of the time.”

One of our regular walking spots to catch a sunset. The new path along the floodwall is steadily improving with cleanup.

We stopped here for a moody evening walk. There were several people fishing. This is a nice place to stop and walk off dinner because it’s the most beautiful place in Parkersburg to watch the sunset, well most of the time.

★★★★★ — Country , Apr 2026

Very beautiful, well kept and looked after area. You get to walk around the flood wall and look at the river. There are places to sit, designated fishing areas and cool architectural places around. You can catch a boat to the Blennerhassett Island from here.

★★★★★ — Vik , Jul 2018

Very scenic park at the confluence of the Little Kanawha River and Ohio River. There is a walking trail, access for kayaks, and restrooms.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
