Confirmed from Fort Gratiot County Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Very well maintained park. Clean restrooms, amazing playground with protective rubber floor tiles located in the shade!! Covered picnic areas and paved walking trails. The beach is great for finding rocks and fossils and seeing freighters go by.

We came here to let our kids play, after it got too cold to play in the beach water anymore. The beach itself had no playground for our kids, so we took them here for the first time! There is a playground off-set in the woods, which is very relaxing and allows the kids to play without lots of distractions.

Very beautiful place to go and walk around, including a small trail through the woods with different information throughout. No pets allowed on the beach. Wheelchair ramp is there to get down further to the water. Pavilions can be rented there as well.

★★★★★ — Alicia , Sep 2023

I almost don't want to leave a review because this place feels like a best-kept-secret kind of place. The beach was clean, parking was convenient, beach wasn't overcrowded, beach goers were polite and respectful, bathrooms nearby, shade to escape the sun was plentiful. My only tip...bring water shoes.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
