Confirmed from Fourth of July Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Super fun, new, modern playground for children of all ages! THESE are the types of playgrounds I enjoy taking my son too! Large, room to run around, up above and down below. Slides everywhere, multiple things to climb on or with. Very creatively layed out playground! Has trees around it for some shade.

I love this park. I come here often with my kids... they love the playground, and I love walking the trail. I've also hosted a birthday party here, and everyone loved it. The dog park is a really nice feature, I used to take my dog there sometimes.

Every time we come here, it gets better. New shelters with an accessible playground! We've rented shelter #1 for several birthday parties and cookouts at 4th of July park.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

Plan your run at Fourth of July Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
