Confirmed from Fox Ridge Nature Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Paved, grass-covered walking routes with hilly sections and ponds, in a park that was once a golf course.

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (109 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 9 mentions

“A beautiful place during the spring, summer and fall for a walk picnic or just time to spend with a love one or go on a date”

🐕 dog-walking favorite 3 mentions

“I loved the tranquility and peace this place gives off, my dog loved the trail and its a nice place to find yourself closer to your faith if you so choose.”

From my understanding this was once a golf course and is now a nature park. There are paved trails to walk on with some wooded sections and some hills. There are two small lakes and a few picnic tables. This place is great for walking and or walking dogs!

Great place to go for some quite time. Nice place with 96 acres of land converted to a little nature preserve. Has hardtop walking trails. A little pond to fish in. New Pavillion with picnic tables & and restrooms. Perfect to have a gathering. Easy access from parking lot. Would definitely go again.

★★★★★ — Mervin , May 2021

A basic park with a lot of walking paths and lakes, leftover from when it was a golf course. It's supposed to look like native prairie land now. Lots of places to sit or walk to, although it could use more trees or pavilions for shade.

★★★★☆ — A , Sep 2021

Good place to bomb hills on bikes. Few pedestrians, spotters is a good idea. I would recommend a first aid kit as well. Concrete is a little rough. Skateboards and scooters are a bad idea here. Good place to walk a dog.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
