Nice park nestled under the cedar River trail and along side Maple Valley HWY. Being below the HWY you don't really notice the noise from the cars. I like to stop there on my way home from work and build Cairns, I find it calms and relaxes me. There's a good size field, with a covered picnic area by the parking lot.
Cute little park for a nice walk. There's no bathrooms.or play toys. But it's quiet and the trail.goes right behind cascade pizza. If you walk down to river and walk up.the stairs to the right side of the bridge you can walk across the bridge and your behind the pizza place.
The parking area is well maintained gravel - no mud or big puddles. There is one oversized honey-bucket, which was clean & well stocked. It's a good spot to escape into nature, within the city! No play facility, but has hassle-free accessibility to the river.
Parked here twice to use the trail. It only takes two hours to walk from here to the Landsburg fish ladder and still having time to look at a few things on the way. For those that don't like the noise, why is it that you don't start and the landsburg end?
