Confirmed from Royal Arch Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Scenic

Park with a forest and picnic tables, plus a river where an annual Halloween event is held.

Beautiful location with lots of trees, shade, and a nice river running by the far side of the park. It's an awesome place to see wildlife, elk, birds, and even a bald eagle that fishes from the river in the afternoon.

Yes it's a really cool spot along the Cedar River in Maple Valley on state Route 169 company pick niks, camp spots for relaxing on hot summer day, or just the weekend

★★★★★ — John , Feb 2017

Beautiful grounds, great open rental facility, nice managers, easy to work with. Clean facilities. Be careful there is poison oak over growing some smaller trails. But, the bigger ones are cut back. Highly recommend for business picnics, baby shower, wedding, birthday party, or family reunion.

★★★★★ — Tea , Sep 2020

Great park with a wonderful river running beside it. The river is shallow enough for those stable on their feet to walk, but it is rather swift for littler ones. Would be fine as long as you keep an eye on them.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
