Confirmed from Fremont Older Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Fremont Older Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (59 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 8 mentions

“Beautiful lush greenery on a late winter day.”

This spot gives you access to Freemont Open Space trails. The parking space is very limited for about 6 cars on the roadside. It seems like people come and go and I got the parking without waiting. The first part is a steep hike up about 0.2 miles. Then continuing to the left you get to the Hunters point.

★★★★★ — Tina , Mar 2024

This is the Regnart entrance to Seven Springs loop. Better and safer approach road compared to the road to the Prospect road entrance , which is narrow and has a drop on one side with no barrier.

★★★★★ — Vijay , Nov 2022

Beautiful trail. Steep for most sections to Hunter’s peak or massie’s peak but the views make up for it. Street side parking for about 6-8 cars.

Nice hike ....✝️♥️🔔⛪"...but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
