We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Maisie's Peak yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Maisie's Peak

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (114 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“Beautiful views of the Bay Area - on a clear day one can see all the way up to Mt Tamalpais, Mt Hamilton and Mt Diablo along with views of San Jose, San Francisco and Oakland.”

Good hike, not too challenging, and not too long. Plan to park along be the side of the road before the last turn, parking lot (prospect road) is often full. All trails at the park are dog friendly.

There are multiple paths to Maisie's Peak. We started from Stevens Creek Tony Look trailhead, which is on Stevens Canyon Road. It is a 1.5mile hike raising up about 700 ft from the starting point. The initial hike to Inspiration Point rises monotonically about 500 ft. The peak itself is not remarkable in any way.

Nice trail wonderful view from the top it's better to start early as, if it sunny not too much shade as it's open wide trail majorly and having the All trail map helps you as they have a lot of trails that merge there they do have the boards but it's better with the navigate map on phone.

Good vista point on the Stevens Creek County side. BTW you can also get to it from Fremont Older side. It's a steep hill but the view at the top is really. When I go up with a bike, I start from the side of the entrance so I can get some momentum, I make it without a stop most times :). Good for some bragging rights.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
