Confirmed from Fresno Canyon Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Short hiking area featuring a trail with views.
What runners say about Fresno Canyon Trail
“One time we did it in the morning and was beautiful but one time we did it in the evening to see sunset.”
Great trail. Definitely a challenge. You have to park in the parking lot to the right and walk to the beginning of the the trail to the left. There are no bathrooms an it's a 4 mile trail to the top (8miles total). Pack water and snacks.
Best place to park would be by the small shopping center on green river road. Other places, by hosting area behind the shopping center - please read all signs for proper parking. The park entrance can be found on green river roads, small and unknowing, it starts with a long gentle rise.
For being a level four hiking spot I was told I didn't do too bad for a newbie. Walking stick helps. Definitely recommend a good pair of hiking boots or shoes. I was the only one in the group that did not slip on ascent and descent due to both walking stick and hiking boots.
Our monthly meetup hike. A great turn out. We had a big group and many dogs. Great companies and beautiful scenery what else can anyone asked for. I’m so happy!!

- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
