Confirmed from Gazzam Lake's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Gazzam Lake
We went here to. See how a lake could have such poor ratings. Okay, so the lake is a glorified pond, but it has many lily pads and is quite charming in its own special way. There are well marked foot trails that are a pleasant way to walk down to Lake and through some pretty wooded areas.
Mostly wetlands with not a lot of open water. Worth hiking to for the scenery!
Beautifully maintained trails that can provide a full day’s worth of wondering. Wide enough to not be a concern when running into people (not that it was too busy to really worry!)
Great trails to run, walk with family, or hike to Puget Sound water views of Olympic Mountains. Quiet and peaceful.
