A great place for a walk or even a cookout with the family, especially in spring when the rains clear or in autumn when the sun is lower. In the summer, however, it definitely gets heat blasted and dries up quickly.
George Markos Park, one of the most beautiful, tranquil and picturesque parks in Ft.Worth, I would have to say. It starts with the name, Mr. Markos happens to be the first Tarrant County resident to make the ultimate sacrifice in the Vietnam War. Next attribute would have to be location, location, location.
Great place for kids to run around and have fun or just swing and play on playground!
I have a couple of gripes about George Markos Park. First off, there's no parking lot, so you have to park on the street. Also, it feels like a replica of other parks in Fort Worth and lacks any cover for shade. Why the 5 stars? That said, there are things I appreciate.
