Confirmed from Germania Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park on the Jordan River's banks featuring a basketball court and a playground.
What runners say about Germania Park
It has a huge soccer area, picnic area, basket ball, and play area for kids. It's very close to Jordan trail. Restrooms are open (May 23), and are super clean.
It's such a great park off of the Taylorsville/Murray side of the Jordan River trail... My toddler really enjoyed the soft/rubber floors. The area is very clean, and the slide wasn't hot even though it was 85 degrees outside.
I grew up playing at this park. Since then, they re-did the playground area (kind of sad to me, but looking back, probably necessary, haha). The kids seem to like the new area, though.
Overall, it's a nice park. The playground is for younger kids, anyone above 10 is probably not going to enjoy it very much. There is a public restroom that is open and a drinking fountain. There is some shade on the playground, but you probably would still need sunscreen if you were planning on staying for a while.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
