One of the few parts of the trail that has plenty of trees. Trees=shade, very welcome in the summer. And great for birds. We also saw a fairly large box turtle in the river, but my wife spooked it before I could get a picture.
In the summer and fall it always has great views either it be the birds, the ducks, the beautiful nature scenes or the color of the leaves changing and crunching beneath your feet. Great walking trails. Great way to get away from it all and just relax.

Love this place been going here my whole life. Fun thing my mom did with us grown up: weather biking or roller blading she would drop us off and then take the car for or five stops up the trail and then bike down back to us so we could make the journey back to the car… it was an awesome experience and if u have kids I…
