Confirmed from Ghost Falls Trail Head's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Really easy trail with a ton of bikers.”

We enjoyed hiking Ghost Falls trail. We went on the Phantom Foot Path which was so nice because you don't have to look out for bikers. We brought 8, 7, 5 and 2 year old children. 2 year old in a hiking backpack. Kids loved it. Very easy hike for them. Love the changes in scenery along the way.

This is a fun quick hike that is very kid friendly. We chose to hike down but if mountain biking is your thing you can do that too. We went on this hike in the late evening and even then the sun didn't bother us because it is a very shady trail.

Beautiful, little falls hidden in the side of the mountain. Great little hike. Not difficult at all or too lengthy. Fun and shady!

★★★★★ — Rachel , Jul 2023

This is a wonderful cute hike that is very easy to manage, offers a great view of a spectacular waterfall, and multiple tiny little tributaries flowing throughout the various hiking trails in canyon rim regional park.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 16 mentions

“The tiny waterfall was hidden by the bushes, so it's hard to look at, and the trail was not the easiest one to follow.”
