Confirmed from Peak View Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Had a fun hike in the snow with friends. Good signage and Great trails.

LONE ROCK TRAIL- if you look at AllTrails, we did the hike called “lone rock trail” which starts on Peak View Trailhead. You must type in peak view to get there on the maps. This trail is the start of Lone Peak/ Jacob’s ladder. To get to lone rock we just followed those signs.

★★★★☆ — Hailey , Aug 2023

The trailhead provides a parking lot with a place for trailers, restroom, and map along with a station with tools for bikes. All-in-all a great place to start a hike.

What a great 2:00 a.m. hike with Mongoose! Oh and don't get me started on the wonderful bathrooms here! Next time I'm bringing a newspaper and my slippers. 😁🧻🚽🚻

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
