Confirmed from Gibson Hill Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular recreational area featuring 2 play areas for kids, plus a grassy field and a beach volleyball court.
What runners say about Gibson Hill Park
“The park is spacious and well-maintained, providing plenty of open areas for picnics, sports, and leisurely walks.”
It's a great local park that sits next to the fire station. It has an impressively tall play structure, volleyball court that doubles as a sand pit, picnic tables with grills, a tot playground and swings as well as a Zipline. The porta potty is even fairly well maintained.
Great park to take your kid or dog. Our first time here we saw 4 yellow labs, among other dogs. There are two separate play structures for older and younger kids, and a see saw. There's a nice walking path, grass field and basketball court.
Lots of play structure options plus sand pit, open field, waking path, picnic tables. Overall a great park for all ages.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
