The river trail has tons of river views and amazing big Cottonwood trees. Volunteer opportunities are available to help keep the trail beautiful and inviting through the City of Albany's Adopt a Park Program. I've been helping spread wood chips to help with muddy spots.
I enjoyed a nice walk along the Willamette River in North Albany along the trail in the park. The trail is about 1.7 miles one way, I did it about an hour and a half round trip. This park offers a nice ramp to the Willamette River and restrooms, also a great view of Downtown Albany.
I've been walking this trail for years. It's not very difficult to complete and does allow your puppy. Beautiful hike 😊
Tucked away in the middle of town this park has a small boat launch with a couple of picnic tables nearby. There are some walking trails and access to the river on both sides of boat launch. This is a great place for rockhounding along the river, current in the river can be fairly strong at times so use caution.
