Confirmed from Takena Landing Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“Quiet place to fish and offers a scenic trail alongside river”

Great walk. Mask friendly. I can't believe I just discovered this place. There were other walkers so I felt very safe.

Really liked this place. I primarily went for the 1.7 mile hike, each way. Parking lot had plenty of space for parking and even if you were towing a boat. The bathroom was clean and there were no suspicious characters like one of the reviews that talked about Tweakers yelling at you. There was nothing like that at all.

★★★★☆ — Tee , May 2018

I love walking the Takena landing trail with my dog! It is so pretty, the trails are kept up to date, pretty easy 3-4 mile walk. I do recommend if you want to get put into nature without leaving Albany.

★★★★★ — Cloie , Jun 2026

Nice walking trail 1.5-2 miles. Can be muddy during the rainy season. But it's long enough it gets you away from the traffic noise once you cross under the bridges that highway 20 crosses over.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 8 mentions

“Apart from bathrooms being locked most of the year for no apparent reason, this is a great place to take dogs to the water (when not too high) and has a nice 3.”
