Confirmed from Girard Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring a pond, a pool, a basketball court, a tennis court, a rec center & more.

Before the new park in Lafayette, Girard Park was by far the best, and it still is in my eyes. The park just gets better and I'm glad that my children get to play here now too. The walking path is great, and the playground and splash pad are great for the kids. I'll be teaching my kids to fish in the pond.
Absolutely beautiful !! So many places to sit and relax. The pond is great !!! You can fish. It's stocked. Basketball, tennis, splash pad and a 1.25 mile track. Such a pretty park. Lots of bathrooms. There was toilet paper. Tons of parking plus a parking garage. Several water fountains didn't work.
One of my favorite parks. Probably my favorite park in Lafayette, they have a walking path with a jogging or running path around the whole park which is really nice. You have basketball court with tennis courts and other gym and exercise equipment which this very nice.
This is a fun park ! It's got a few features I don't see in parks in my hometown - like a pond. And with the pond comes ducks - friendly ducks. They will follow you and ask for food ducks 😆 Pretty water fountain to catch your attention.
