Confirmed from Glastowbury Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Glastowbury Trail
“Very beautiful hiking trail that leads you up into the woods.”
“Nice trail, well marked and taken care of.”
“It's a pretty easy trail, we went shortly after some snow and rain, so it was a little slick.”
Neat little hike. It's a pretty easy trail, we went shortly after some snow and rain, so it was a little slick. It's nice enough if you want a quick walk with a little challenge. It's just a 1 mile loop with 131 foot elevation gain. So it's not too hard. The silly thing is that they placed a plastic table at a place.
We loved the nature paths; our dogs had a blast running in the woods and jumping off of the boat dock. The park was pristine and there was nobody here when we visited - only a couple of fisherman. The water was exceptionally clear except for the small minnows.
Nice, gentle trail in a figure 8 configuration with a woodland section and a lake view section. There's also an old picnic table with a nice lake overlook. Benches are spaced along the trail, too. We were treated to seeing a green heron along the lake shore.
Very beautiful hiking trail that leads you up into the woods. Great view of Lake Glastowbury. Trail is short and easy, there is even a short cut back to the parking area if you are in a hurry. There also is a boat launch for kayaks and fishing boats.
