Confirmed from Trailhead for Stonehenge Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“SUPER Easy walk if you are in this area.”

SUPER Easy walk if you are in this area. I think that the only thing that we did not love about this trail is that it came to an abrupt stop at the road - so we turned around and went back to where our cars were at. That was cool - it runs right behind some homes and the pathway is easy to follow.

This is a recently built 1.5 mile trail with an out-and-back design. The terrain is undulating with some rolling hills, so it's not too strenuous. There's a parking lot at the trailhead near the intersection of Stonehenge and Kingsboro.

★★★★☆ — Quilt , May 2017

Easy 1.5 mile hike from the parking trailhead to Dorchester Golf Course. At two places the trail passes T-Boxes and you can watch golfers T-off. Bathrooms and a snack bar in the club house ! Have a snack and return to car for a nice 3 mile hike in the woods. Part of Fairfield Glade Trail System.

Trail is long and very scenic. Great for family, dogs or alone. Very safe while on this trail as well!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
