Confirmed from Overlook Nature Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

This is such an amazing honey hole to find. I thought hard about leaving a review on this place cause I just don't want it destroyed by ignorant people. But it's so beautiful, and there's just so much that I had to share the beauty. Plus there are already lots of other people already reviewing it.

As a big girl, I was hesitant to tackle this trail. It’s got some steep areas and since you start at the top and head down, the only way out is up. Despite my nightmarish daydreams of having to be helicoptered out, I survived. Honestly, it’s all so pretty to look at that you forget it’s a work out till the end.

Beautiful trail! Ended up here on a whim while waiting to get into our condo! Beautiful, well maintained trail with lots of variety! Lila dog & I enjoyed our hike! Question- what tree drops those huge leaves?

Went in to wade fish Daddy's Creek very fishy looking (creek) river. Trails were well defined and easy to moderate difficulty. It appears that the trail used to go farther along creek than signs indicate. I have caught smallmouth bass in the spring in this creek so I am confident there are fish to be caught.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
