Confirmed from Glenbrook Park River Access' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking area offering access to a river that's good for kids and dogs.
What runners say about Glenbrook Park River Access
“Beautiful, peaceful scenery.”
“Peaceful definitely a nice place to relax and enjoy nature”
When I finally made it to the water and the beach it was worth it but it is kind of a long walk from where you have to park on the road to the actual Beach but when you get here it's quiet and beautiful what are you giving it five stars for it not the long walk to where I had to park and also the kelp there's a lot of…
Well, you know it’s a place to get to the river from the park. Nothing special. No parking other than on La Riviera so for some it may be a kind of long and rocky walk up a pretty steep hill.
Nice hiking and walking path. Since most of it is paved you can wear regular sneakers or boots if you want to get closer to the river.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
