Confirmed from Watt Avenue River Access' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Public area offering hiking trails, a public restroom, and a boat launch.
What runners say about Watt Avenue River Access
“Super clean and well-maintained.”
“So beautiful I need to get more pictures.”
“peaceful, quiet beach area for dogs and people to swim.”
Very nice area. Super clean and well-maintained. There's pretty good tree coverage on the trail. Lots of areas to stop to sit and rest (benches and tables). There's a couple of restrooms, but be sure to carry hand sanitizer.
We are a small 1:10 scale 4x4 club. And we rock crawl here every week. Love this place. It is under the Watt ave bridge so we can rock crawl in the shade. And when it rains we have a huge umbrella.
gotta luv this spot..right in the heart of Sac Metro is this sprawling nature reserve. All kinds of hiking along the big rocked shoreline or u can trudge the trails thru THICK foliage. uh hmm....how to put this to y'all?
So beautiful I need to get more pictures. It was hot and a little difficult to navigate to having never been there before. I did not know you drive over the levy. Definitely Gay friendly. Family friendly. All and all very nice hike and view of the water.
