Confirmed from Gold Mine Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Beautiful and peaceful park. I bring my dog here to walk. Bridges, creeks and plush greenery. Great for walking and biking. Shaded spots and sunny parts. Deers, birds and turtles.

Not yet finished but looks like it’s shaping up to be a nice little spot on the greenway trail.

★★★★☆ — Ben , Feb 2023

This park is the perfect size for me with a new born, lots of shade on the trail, trail is solid so I can take the stroller with my baby, no steep slopes. I need more stroller or wheelchair friendly parks considering my dad's knees are bad. This park is perfect.

★★★★★ — Wenchao , Aug 2025

Not quite what I expected. It is more for joggers, bikes and those that live nearby. Combine it with downtown Sugar Hill & EE Robinson Park and it makes for a nice circuit. Is dog friendly and handicapped accessible.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
