Confirmed from Goose Lake Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Goose Lake Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (135 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Hiden gem, been coming here for years and now live in the neighborhood. The area connects with a few other hidden lakes/ponds close by (see Google map) and can walk/drive from Rodenberg Rd and go west up Waterbury Dr, at dead end you will see a trail on right side of street sidewalk that leads to 3 more small…

Give me the accurate the name is the accurate representation of this park. There are many geese at this park and also has a walking trail. Also it is behind Public School District 20 keeneyville. The park is very exciting it also has a tire swing. Also in the summer they have porta potties at this park.

★★★★★ — Geek , Dec 2017

The park had a play area for younger kids, smaller slides as well a park gor the older more adventurous ones, with a tall tower you climb up with stairs and several slides. There are plenty of picnic tables and benches for seating. It has a walking path and a rather large grassy area.

A nice playground for younger kids! Playground is right on Mensching at Borden Dr. A few shady picnic tables, too. Street parking is easy. There's a nice path smooth enough to rollerblade or bike on.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🅿️ Trailhead parking 3 mentions

“Can see fireworks here too away from crowds on 4th of July from the school parking lot.”
