Confirmed from Government Peak Recreation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Clean, and a safe feeling environment”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 9 mentions

“Great cross country skiing in the winter, awesome hiking trails with beautiful views over the mountains.”

Completed BBK trail with my kids today. Yes, there are some steep areas, but I think the hardest part for me was how slippery it was and trying to keep up with my boys. Amazing view at the top. Was definitely worth it.

Hidden treasure took me and my camera a few years to find. Ive only been there in the summer and it did not disappoint as far as birding goes. Yellow crowns, and thrush all over the place. Trails are great, heavily traveled and there are bathrooms, thats a huge plus. Massive parking lots is another plus

Love the trails here! Blueberry knoll is a favorite hike. Trails are well taken care of. The views are worth it even on a cloudy day.

★★★★★ — Kristin , May 2023

Beautiful views, challenging Nordic trails, excellent grooming. The chalet is spacious, comfortable, with excellent views.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
