Confirmed from Grangabel Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Grangabel Park
“Was awesome had fun beautiful landscape nice picnic areas decent bathrooms and wonderful trails”
Great little park in Riverhead, walkable from downtown. In the morning you can have the park nearly to yourself with just a few other people walking or biking. Take in the art installations and wildlife while you walk the boardwalk and through the park.
Right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Main Street in Riverhead and just pass the roundabout oh, you'll find a quaint little Walking park with beautiful views and a ton of really great artistic infrastructure for taking pictures. Definitely my favorite part of Riverhead.
Visited to enjoy the art light show - Reflexions. Beautiful walk. Plenty of parking. Lots to do nearby. Loved it!
Beautiful little park area with a nice walk way and amazing art sculptures to admire! Some ducks & awesome water flowing with benches to sit on for relaxing!

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
